We are so excited to welcome our Buzzing Bees back to Norma Butler Bossard Elementary! A very special welcome goes out to our tiniest new Buzzing Bees and to all the new families joining our hive this year. Whether you're returning or walking through our doors for the very first time, we're so happy you're here. Around here, once you're part of the hive, you're family.
Our PTA has been working all summer to prepare fun events, meaningful programs, and special opportunities to help make this school year one to remember. Our mission is simple: to help create the very best experience possible for every student. Together with our amazing teachers, staff, families, and volunteers, we look forward to a year filled with learning, school spirit, and unforgettable memories.

New Tilt Truck for Custodians
Your PTA purchased a much-needed new tilt truck for our amazing custodians to help them work more efficiently and keep our school sparkling clean!
Teacher Welcome Breakfast & Raffle
We welcomed our incredible teachers and staff back with a special breakfast catered by Chris Valdes Catering!
PTA also provided items for a Teacher Raffle, giving our educators a chance to win classroom goodies and start the year with a little extra pep in their step!
Teacher Wishlists Fulfilled
Wishlists are getting checked off! PTA has been fulfilling teacher wishlists with supplies and classroom essentials so our educators can start Day 1 feeling supported and ready for an amazing year.
Media Room Upgrade
Our Media Room has a brand-new circulation desk for Ms. Fleitas! This upgrade creates a more welcoming and efficient space for our Buzzing Bees to discover their next favorite book.
And here's the sweetest part: your support of our Book Fairs helped make it possible! Every purchase helps us invest right back into our school.
New Outdoor Seating
PTA purchased a new professional-grade picnic table to give students and staff a comfortable, shaded outdoor space to eat, read, study, or simply take a little break.
Driveline Pick-Up & Ibiley Uniform Sale
We kicked off back-to-school with our Driveline Pre-Order Pick-Up, where families collected PTA purchases and got an early peek at this year's Friday Spirit Shirt!
We also partnered with Ibiley Uniforms & More for an on-campus uniform pop-up, creating a convenient one-stop shop for our Buzzing Bee families.
New & Improved Car Tags
You asked. We listened! This year's car tags are made from durable polyethylene that's waterproof, tear-resistant, UV-resistant, and built to handle South Florida weather.
A big thank-you to our generous sponsors for helping make this upgrade possible!
New & Improved Backpack Tags
You spoke, and your PTA listened! Our new backpack tags are made with thicker, sturdier material and a removable, reusable silicone band — because sometimes backpacks need a good wash after the messiest of uses.

"A" Rated & Gold STEAM!
Norma Butler Bossard Elementary has once again earned an "A" Rating and the prestigious Gold STEAM School Designation! These achievements reflect the incredible work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community. We couldn't be prouder to call NBB home!

We are incredibly proud that Norma Butler Bossard Elementary PTA is a 2025–2027 National PTA School of Excellence! This national designation recognizes the strength of our family-school partnership and our shared commitment to enriching the educational experience and well-being of every student.

Mark Your Calendars... The Buzzing Fun is About to Begin! 🐝
📅 August 12 – Meet & Greet
- •Shop our Gently Used Uniform Sale (cash only), with most items just $2–$3.
- •Strike a pose at our fun back-to-school photo stations and kick off a magical year. Don't forget to tag @nbb_elementary and @nbbpta—we love seeing our Buzzing Bees shine!
- •Buzz over to the NBB PTA Information Table to learn about all the perks of membership, grab some complimentary popcorn, and scratch your way to a prize—because the first 25 sign ups for each time slot will get a scratch off and everyone's a winner!
- •Meet our incredible community sponsors! Stop by their tables to collect goodies, discover local programs, and see firsthand how local businesses help make amazing things happen for our school. It truly takes a hive!
- •Explore the exciting after-school clubs, enrichment opportunities, and after-care programs available for the 2026–2027 school year—all in one place.
📅 August 13 – First Day of School
- •Every student will receive a useful Welcome Gift from your PTA—a small reminder that every Buzzing Bee is at the heart of everything we do. We can't wait to welcome our hive back!
📅 August 26 – Open House
- •Come meet your child's teachers, learn about this year's curriculum, and see all the exciting things our Buzzing Bees will be learning and creating this school year.
📚 August 26 – September 2 – PTA Literati Book Fair
- •Our Book Fair is buzzing with exciting stories, fun finds, and reading adventures for every age. Every purchase helps support literacy and our school library—thank you for helping our readers grow!
- •🙋 Volunteer Opportunity — The Book Fair is one of our favorite ways to get involved. Sign up to volunteer and help make it a success!
- •For added convenience, students have the option of not bringing cash. Gift cards may be used to purchase books and other items at the in-person Book Fair. For easier use at the fair, please print the gift card for your student. Purchase Gift Card →
